What is Four Hand Massage?

A four hand massage is exactly what it says: a massage performed with four hands. Two massage therapists massage the patient's body at the same time. Just like any other form of massage, the most immediate benefit is the relaxation. This relaxation can lead to many other benefits, including less mental stress (which in turn relieves many illnesses or pains). Four hand massage also promotes healing-just as other forms of massage do-by increasing blood flow and circulation throughout the body.

Is a four hand massage any better than a regular massage? It depends on what benefits you are seeking. If you are trying to choose between a classic massage and a four hand massage, the four hand massage may be the best choice because the benefits are very similar, but the relaxation and pain relief may arrive more quickly because twice the work is being done to the body.
