Since 1978, Brea has continued
to seek education in skin and body care from a
holistic standpoint. In 2006, she received
certification as a Doctor of Naturopathy. She and
her staff believe we need to have an understanding
of the systems of the body and how they relate to
various conditions presented through the skin or by
ill health. Since the industry, in general, has not
focused on this root cause, Brea and her staff
attend educational events regularly, hold in-house
seminars, read, train and discuss their individual
knowledge so that the client can be assured of a
consistent quality of work, no matter who performs
the service. Each technician, as well as Brea,
confers with each other, sharing knowledge and
experiences, which greatly enriches their work.
SKILL CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS
All new technicians are skill
certified by Brea before they can perform services.
Our style and techniques are so different that not
one technician can start performing services at
Sanctuary just because they have done them at other
spas. Our training program consists of a
discussion to understand the philosophy of the
specific treatment, the technician receives the
service, then performs the service to the best of
their ability, a review and critique is made, they
receive the service again and then perform the
service with another critique. Practice if
necessary for several weeks to months may be
necessary until they have been tested by practical
and verbal exams to ensure they have a complete
understanding of the service they will perform on
you. This is a lot of work when you consider
the size of our service menu.
